Super Easy and Yummy--Doughnut Pudding

Turn a dozen day old donuts ($1.25) into a yummy and quick dessert.

This is what was left after a potluck luncheon yesterday.

Donut Pudding

Ingredients:

13 stale donuts (bought as day or two old donuts)
1 can(14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 can of skimmed milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Sprinkle of powdered sugar

Heat up oven to 350F.

Cut each donut into 6-8 pieces. Place donut pieces into a large bowl.

In another bowl, add one 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk, one can (use the scmilk can) of skim milk, two eggs, one teaspoon real vanilla, and one teaspoon cinnamon. Hand whip until eggs are well-beaten and everything is mixed.

Pour milk mixture over the stale donut pieces and stir until all seem to be covered.(I did not smush the donuts, but I left them to absorb the liquid while I buttered the baking dish.)

Spray (or butter) a large casserole dish.

Drop in the donut pudding mixture. Give it a good "patdown," and place uncovered in the 350F oven for 30-40 minutes.

Keep an eye on your dish. Mine was smaller and deep, so I baked it 40 minutes. Check to be sure that the pudding is not runny, and the top should be dry and beginning to get crusty.

Sprinkle the still warm pudding with powdered sugar on top after done.

No sauce or icing is necessary. This is sweet enough!
