I almost never fry anything. Not a real "southerner" I am afraid. My 88 year old mother fries chicken and eggplant and tomatoes. The green tomatoes will ripen on our breakfast table in our kitchen breakfast nook. Usually takes about a week. I picked them green because the birds are starting to peck the tomatoes, and our dog has chased out some other creatures that were munching.
Wow - lucky you! What do you do with the green ones - fry them?
